I.M. Pei's Pyramid in Le Louvre, Paris

Glass and metal in modern architecture have long replaced the stone work of the XVI and XVII centuries. I found the combination of Mr Pei’s pyramid with the Palace of Le Louvre a masterpiece of architecture.

The main pyramid serves as the entrance of the museum, which hosts some of the most brilliant art pieces mankind has ever produced and is only rivaled by the British Museum in London and the Metropolitan in New York.
